Daily Painting Day 24

“So Cherry”

Today was a cherry blossom day.  Went to watch my son’s soccer game and as they were practicing I spotted some cherry blossom trees.

So of course I had to take a few photos.  Then later in the day I dropped my son off at his friends house and on the way there were two blocks filled with cherry blossom trees.

Sent some pictures to my friends and they said looks like you got your next daily painting…get busy!  Haha, so I did.

“So Cherry” by Doreen J. Bowers

11″ x 14″ in Acrylic painting on canvas.  This is a palette knife project that I worked on for my painting of the day.  Palette knife painting is a lot of fun.  I do need to start investing in more heavy body acrylic paint because the ones I used in some of the painting was too thin.  But I made it work.

Day 24 is officially checked off!

Have a great Sunday!!!
